From Communist Oppression to Champion of American Freedom

1967

Born in Communist Albania

Peter Lumaj’s extraordinary journey from communist Albania to a life of opportunity in the United States is a testament to resilience, courage, and a profound belief in freedom. Born in 1967, Peter grew up under one of the most oppressive regimes in Eastern Europe, where religion was outlawed, personal freedoms were crushed, and dissent was met with imprisonment or execution. His family practiced their Christian faith in secret, a dangerous act of defiance that instilled in Peter a deep respect for sacrifice and conviction.
